Father Christmas leading proceedings...!
John Potter, MD of Potters Resort, talked briefly about the aims and objectives of the Potters Friends Foundation.
Those naughty elves...
On Sunday 4th December, over 650 visitors in our local community enjoyed a festive afternoon in our Atlas Theatre, as they watched our 2016 Christmas Spectacular in aid of worthy causes.
The show was introduced by our Entertainments Director, Nigel Pattle, and was followed by speeches from John Potter, Managing Director of Potters Resort and Nathan Moore, CEO of Potters Friends Foundation, on how we have and aim to support our community through a number of varied projects.
Potters Theatre Company did us proud (as they always do) with a packed house enjoying a mix of traditional and modern Christmas classics, combined with some laughs and crowd participation with "The 12 Days of Christmas" performed by the audience themselves! It was really quite special to see guests of all ages and generations enjoying the show and getting in the festive spirit, with the added bonus of raising valuable funds to be put to good use in our community.
The event raised a tremendous £7,301.00, some of which will be immediately donated to our chosen charities who helped us promote the event.
There are too many people to thank on here, but most importantly, thank you to everyone that supported the afternoon by buying a ticket and joining us for what was a brilliant day. It's also important to make a special mention for the real stars, many of whom were in the audience, who on a daily basis are working for and with the people in our community who find themselves in a less fortunate position than others. So here's to you and your tremendous efforts.
Merry Christmas everybody, and wishing you all a prosperous 2017.
