The team from Diss Bowls Club, with Greg Harlow and Buzby

Six Diss & District Bowls Club players, Lynne Ainge, Robert Capon, Kristian Garnham, David Harrison, Lee Holden and Aaron Stimpson, at 2pm on Friday 6th February 2015, started their Guinness World Record challenge for the longest indoor bowls marathon in the International Arena at Potters Resort.

The current record is 40 hours, held by a team from Australia, but Diss & District Bowls Club did a whopping 50 hours, finishing at 4pm on Sunday 8th February 2015.

As a result of the event, a donation of £1,000 was made to Big C, Norfolk’s Cancer Charity, who strive to improve the lives of those affected by cancer in Norfolk & Waveney.
