Potters Resort Team Awards recognise our community champions
Around 150 team members were recognised on the evening of Thursday 9th February 2017, at the Annual Potters Resort Team Awards held at Zest Rooms.
Many individuals were awarded following nominations from their colleagues for great examples of customer service, going the extra mile (or WOWs as we like to call them), unsung heroes, best newcomers, high achievers and happy people, with the Restaurant Team’s Mandy Herrington winning the Brian Potter MBE Customer Care Award.
For 2017, the Community Award was added to also recognise team members who continually give up their time to do great things for those in our community less fortunate than others. This could be through any number of Potters Friends Foundation initiatives, or a worthy cause that they personally have a connection with.
Whilst so many have supported the Foundation’s aims and objectives to some extent, we could only choose a handful based upon their repeated charitable efforts across much of 2016. The winners were:
Lisa Holmes who has kindly looked after the Resort’s tombola and with the support of our guests and visitors has helped raise over £12,000 since February 2016, Tracey Armstrong who spends so much of her own time outside of Potters holding events and raising money for charities close to her heart, Buzby Allen who repeatedly puts his body on the line for charity but equally is the first to put his hand up when something good can be done and of course Adam Manthorpe and Stuart Pegg who on a weekly basis visited our local Warren School to teach children with severe learning difficulties the basics of cooking, leading up to a Christmas lunch some three months later, prepared by the children for parents and staff at the school.
Well done to all winners, you truly are an inspiration!
