Potters Teams celebrate National Receptionists’ and Waiters’ Day
The month of May saw businesses across the nation celebrate and recognise those working in two very different, but equally fantastic careers.
Here on Resort, those days mean fun, fundraising and food (!) as we celebrated National Receptionists’ Day on Wednesday 10th May followed swiftly by, on Tuesday 16th May, National Waiters’ Day.
Lots of enjoyment and games were had by our hardworking and dedicated Reception and Restaurant Teams, with a little help from others on Resort to help them along with their day to day duties.
The Reception Team put on a delightful bake sale in the morning, with an honesty box for bric-a-brac and a raffle stacked full of great prizes.
The annual Potters Resort Waiters Race was a hotly contested battle as always, and quite the spectacle for anyone watching!
Our Receptionists raised a magnificent £1,628.21 from the bake sale and raffle, which included a £620.00 contribution from a very generous guest who took home a holiday at Potters Resort for his troubles! Those enjoying the Waiters Race just a few days later contributed a further £173.41! A great effort by all.
Importantly the days recognise those team members and their managers, that work tirelessly on behalf of our guests and going the extra mile at every opportunity. Since however the Potters Friends Foundation has formed, they have also become great fundraisers and such amazing contributions from guests and staff help us massively in supporting our Potters community.
So, our big thanks to everyone involved, well done and we’re already looking forward to next year (especially those cakes…mmm…)!
